Homeowners insurance – a homeowner’s insurance policy offers coverage for physical damage and liability for your home and property. Not all homeowner’s insurance policies are created equal as there are many coverage options available. It is important to understand your policy and what protection it is offering.
Tenant insurance – a tenant insurance policy protects your personal property and liability for a home or apartment you are renting. Not only it is important to have coverage for your personal property, but liability coverage is important in a rental situation. For example, if a fire starts in your rental home/apartment and you are found liable for the damages, it is important to have insurance protection to pay for the damages.
Auto insurance – auto insurance coverage varies according to the state in which you reside. It is required by state law in Ohio to carry liability insurance on any registered auto. In addition to the required liability coverage you can also purchase optional coverage for your autos (such as comprehensive coverage, collision coverage, towing & labor and rental reimbursement coverage).
Umbrella insurance – personal umbrella insurance is a broad liability policy that protects your personal assets from potential lawsuits. This protection extends above and beyond the coverage on your home and auto insurance. It protects the named insureds as well as resident relatives.
Inland marine insurance – this coverage allows you to specifically schedule items on an insurance policy. The most common items scheduled on an inland marine policy are jewelry, fine arts, guns, cameras and computers. In most cases, there is no deductible for items scheduled on an inland marine policy and the coverage can be broader than the coverage under your homeowner’s policy.
