Meet the owners

Don Evans

As owner and founder of Evans Insurance, Don is celebrating 30 years in business this year! Through the years he has built a strong and developed relationship with the logging and trucking industry, while also working with hundreds of community members on their personal insurance needs. Don's focus throughout the years has been on diligent customer service and an honest approach to business.  Whenever he finds time to be outside the office Don most enjoys spending his time up at the cabin on Long Lake. Whether it be fishing or even doing yard work, hearing the loons and other wildlife is what he enjoys most.  

Sam Evans

Sam joined the agency in the fall of 2011 after graduating from Concordia College. He is now a proud co-owner, and recently completed the Commerical Insurance Coverage Specialist (CICS) designation through The Hartford School of Insurance. Sam's wife, Lenora, is a middle school and high school music teacher in Deer River. Sam is involved in many activities around Grand Rapids and is a member of the Grand Rapids Rotary Club.  He is also the Artistic Director of the Itasca Community Chorus and an Assistant Director at Community Presbyterian Church. He and Lenora enjoy spending time outdoors, walking their dog, Cooper, and relaxing at the cabin.
